Position : HSEQ Superintendent

Dorian LPG Management Corp., a liquefied petroleum gas shipping company and a leading operator of modern very large gas carriers, is seeking to employ an HSEQ Superintendent.

The ideal candidate would have sailed as an officer onboard Tankers (preferably LPG / LNG) or have completed postgraduate studies in a maritime studies discipline and be well experienced in modern integrated management systems (ISM/ISPS/ISO).

Additionally, the candidate should have at least 1-3 years overall experience working in a similar HSEQ role of a Shipping Company or 3 to 5 years in an HSEQ related role.

Key functions, among other standard HSEQ dept duties, will be the performance of internal management audits and delivering SMS and HSE training, ideally under sailing conditions and working. Aptitude and familiarity with social media will be considered a bonus. Initiative to identify improvement areas, collect feedback from the fleet, an eye for detail, good report writing and presentation skills, an internal drive to develop and maintain close links with the shipboard personnel, a genuine interest in training himself and seafarers, and a clear understanding of the proactive HSQE concept are essential prerequisites for this position.

Excellent English skills, along with advanced computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, are required for this position as it requires extensive report writing as well as preparing and delivering training presentations and similar material.
